To register these domains you must be an Australian registered company and you will be asked to provide your ABN, BRN or BN.  The domain name you choose must be an exact match, abbreviation or bear a close or  substantial connection to the registered business name.

.org.au, .asn.au

For non-commercial organisations only.  The name chosen must have a close relationship to the organisation it will represent.

.id.au

Intended for individuals who reside in Australia, anyone can register their own name.

.com, .net

These domain names are not restricted and can be registered by anyone.

.biz, .org, .info

These domain names are not restricted and can be registered by anyone.

.mobi

Intended for websites accessible on a mobile device or phone. Anyone can register them – there are no restrictions on .mobi domain names.
